Card-making Workshops:  These workshops are held in the History Room at the library every 6-7 weeks. For a small fee, participants make several cards or other papercrafts with high quality materials and learn a variety of stamping techniques. Pre-registration is required.  

Reel Alternatives: This initiative brings independent and/or foreign films to our community every third Thursday of the month. The films are shown at Reel to Reel Cinemas in Lacombe. Advanced single tickets are sold at the library or at Kavaccino's, single tickets are also available at the door. We also offer sampler passes (a packet of 6 single admission tickets) for a reduced price. Check the Reel Alternatives home page for more details.

Library Book Club: We meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the Read & Relax area of the library. This club is always open for new members- but please pre-register with Mary or Miranda at the library (email: miranda.cl@libs.prl.ab.ca).

Knitting Clubs: There are currently two clubs running: The Creative Knitters meet on Wednesday afternoons (2:00) in the History Room; The Whimsical Wooly Whatnots meet weekly at 7pm on Thursdays. Both clubs are open to new members of all skill levels.

Computer Tutorials: These classes are offered throughout the year and are designed for beginners. Topics include: Internet & Email, MS Word, MS Excel, and other special topics. Click here for more information and the current schedule.
